The Southside Telehealth Training Academy and Resource Center (STAR) is a premier training program for health care providers seeking to use advanced telemedicine and telehealth systems to improve access to quality healthcare for rural and medically-underserved populations.
Participants will gain knowledge and skills using technologies in video-conferencing in the clinical setting and remote patient monitoring in the home setting.
At the completion of the program, participants will receive certification as a Telehealth Technologist, demonstrating proficiency in the use of standards-based technology and protocols, and have the skills and abilities to apply telehealth to the needs of their patients and communities.
