Meet a Martinsville Insider, Virginia R. King.  A board member of the Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society, Virginia is very involved in Uptown Martinsville.  Virginia and her husband, Mervyn, were in charge of the restoration of the Courthouse in Martinsville.  The couple also owns 16 different properties throughout Uptown such as the Jefferson Plaza (Hugo’s and The Daily Grind are found here), New College Institute, and Theatre Works.  This Kansas native has lived in Martinsville-Henry County for almost 50 years and has contributed so much to the area.  Here are Virginia’s tips for enjoying Martinsville-Henry County, Virginia.
