NCI Adds New Expertise and Skills with Additional Team Members


This week, the New College Institute (NCI) announced four recent additions to its staff. Rebekah Hughes, Christopher McDonald, Chris Niblett, and Brian Stanley bring their experience and expertise to NCI.

Rachel Scott spent her summer interning under Amanda Broome, Patrick Henry Community College’s (PHCC) Public Relations Specialist. In this role, Rachel has been involved with nearly all aspects of marketing and promotion at PHCC, including film work, photography, advertising design, social media marketing, strategic planning, and social media analytics.

Radford University Offers Cybersecurity Programs at New College

Radford University partners with New College Institute (NCI) to provide cybersecurity programs with exclusive opportunities onsite at NCI to prepare working professionals for multiple cyber defense certifications. Radford University’s cybersecurity program, Innovative Mobile Personalized Accelerated Competency Training, or IMPACT, was designated in 2016 as a Center of Academic Excellence in cyber defense by both the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

CNC Machine Operator Training Begins

The CNC Machinist I course will provide students with the knowledge to excel in entry to mid-level industrial manufacturing positions. Topics covered include safety, industrial mathematics, precision measurement, tooling, CNC mill setup and operation, CNC lathe operation and setup, and g-code programming.
